When I got a better look I saw it was a Chupacabra exactly as someone had described it.–Juan Callazo, Puerto Rico state police
Right on time for Día de los Muertos is a little story about a boy in search of the perfect pet. That is, if your idea of a perfect pet is a goat-sucker, aka el chupacabra!
This story intended for Level 1 Spanish speakers. We read it as collaborative partners complete with active reading steps, and next week we will act it out as part of a Scooby Doo mystery.
Stay tuned to find out if the legend is real!
hmmmm. I know a few neighbor dogs that are annoying. I wonder what this would do to them.

Oh jesus, you just sounded like my 11th grade Spanish teacher. Senor Felipe, por favor. una frase sobre la natación.
Vamos a nadar con muy frio taco en la bibliteca..?
I got more out of living in McAllen and touring Mexico than I ever did in a classroom. But it’s pretty obvious why…
Anyway, scary monster! Killer (no pun) assignment!

The more fun part of this is that this story leads into the next, which starts with Zane calling Fred from the Scooby Doo gang for help. Shenanigans ensue.
